The Prison of Anemas was one of the largest palace complexes of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire. The dungeons, which were a part of Blakhernai (Tekfur) Palace, consist of fourteen cells built adjacent to the old ramparts and a two story basement located under those cells.
